Joy of Watermelon

Though not everyone was willing to see if they could set a new world record during the World Championship Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest Thursday, Laine Dillinger and Kenzie O’Brien of Oklahoma City weren’t about to turn down fresh cut watermelon slices as Pauls Valley held their Independence Day Celebrations. Complementing the fireworks and other events, there were 49 total seed spitters who participated.
