Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
A nine-man, three-woman jury took just over three hours to deliberate Wednesday before finding a Pauls Valley area man guilty on eight counts related to a couple of 2010 home invasions.
Steven Thompson, 33, also known as “Petey G,” received the guilty verdicts as the three-day jury trial ended in a Garvin County District courtroom in Pauls Valley.
Thompson is among the group of five accused of being the men who forced their way into homes in PV and Elmore City for apparent burglaries on Nov. 14-15, 2010.
The others include Justin Robbins, 24, Tygue Stephens, 28, Jonathon Smith, 23, and Derrick Lane, 23.
Each of the suspects faces multiple felony counts that include conspiracy, burglary, robbery, assault and kidnapping.
In Thompson’s case he was found guilty on criminal counts of conspiracy, burglary, robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of an automobile.
The only not guilty verdict in the case came on a kidnapping count.
