Questions remain in Paoli shooting

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Authorities are still investigating what motivated a deadly shooting at a Paoli residence on Monday.

An argument appears to have led to Antonio Elias Reynoso, believed to be age 58 years old, firing the gunshots that killed Noel Sanchez, 22.

Hours later Reynoso was found dead inside the residence from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

It is believed there was an unreported history of domestic violence within the home which may have led up to a confrontation between Sanchez and Reynoso. Both lived in the home with Sanchez’ mother.

The incident began with a 911 call requesting an ambulance for a gunshot victim at the Paoli residence in the 100 block of West Street.

Paoli officers located the Sanchez inside the same house where the shooting suspect was last seen.

After removing the victim to safety, officers tried to locate the suspect but found a bedroom door had been locked or barricaded from the inside. Reynoso was later found dead inside.

Sanchez was pronounced dead after being taken to Pauls Valley General Hospital.
