Pauls Valley Democrat
There are now some major water restrictions in place for Pauls Valley.
All five members of the PV City Council approved a measure Tuesday night establishing a number of mandatory restrictions for just about every water use outside.
The restrictions begin immediately, although a kind of grace period will be given to get the word out.
The action comes because of the extreme drought conditions now entering a third straight year.
Restricted now are watering yards and gardens, the washing of vehicles, sidewalks or structures, the filling of swimming pools and “all other outside and unnecessary outside water.”
Warnings are expected to come for first time offenders, followed by fines and even the possibility of cutting off the water service to a residence.
Editor's Note: More on the restrictions will come in the Thursday, Feb. 14 edition of the Pauls Valley Democrat.
