SORC employee earns monthly honor

— Direct Care Specialist Yevonn Crawford was one of the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center Employees of the Month in 2005.
Crawford has worked at SORC for eight years and says the favorite part of her job working is with the clients.
Being elected Employee of the Month and having her own special parking spot is one the most interesting things that has ever happened to her on the job.
When asked how it felt to be selected Employee of the Month, Yevonn said at first she thought she was in trouble but when she was told that she had been selected, she was shocked and then she felt really appreciated.
“Being selected lets you know all your hard work has not gone unnoticed.”
Yevonn says “thank you” to whoever chose to nominate her.
Crawford was nominated because she works hard and is here for the clients, plus the staff like to work with her.
“She is very dedicated to SORC and the clients that live here. She has a positive attitude at all times, keeps everyone laughing and in a good mood — both staff and clients.”
Yevonn and her husband Reginald living in Jacksonville, (that’s a suburb of Hennepin), with their three children: Theressa, age 15; ‘Lil Reggie, age 11; and Karon, age 8. Yevonn loves spending time with her husband and children.
