The shutdown has hurt the Arbuckle RV Resort, where business has dropped by nearly 30 percent in the past several days, Duhn said. He noted that visitors to the Chickasaw Cultural Center generate some business for the RV park, but it isn’t enough to offset the lack of traffic at the lake.
However, Duhn said the damage may be short-lived if the shutdown ends soon.
“People know this isn’t going to go on forever — it can’t,” he said. “And I think that — at least I’m hoping — that a lot of people that haven’t come this week will make up for it later.”
