The Garvin County Cattle Producer Association, in cooperation with the Garvin County Cooperative Extension Service, will hold its annual meeting and banquet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Garvin County Fairgrounds in Pauls Valley.
Southeast Area Livestock Specialist Brian Freking will present “Value Added Programs for Beef Producers.”
Oklahoma Quality Beef Network and OK Steer Feedout information will also be available.
The Oklahoma Quality Beef Network (OQBN) is a network of beef producers, educators, veterinarians and industry professionals committed to increasing producers’ access to value added marketing opportunities and improving the quality of cattle produced in Oklahoma by increasing communication between all segments of the beef industry.
The OK Steer Feedout is a genetic evaluation program conducted by the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service to allow cattle producers the opportunity to receive feedback information on the feedlot performance and carcass merit of the calves they produce.
The cost of the steak dinner is $25 (annual membership fee). This will also provide dinner for one guest. The cost for additional dinner guests is $10 each.
