A number of gatherings are happening this week, including another scheduled rabies vaccination clinic in Pauls Valley.
The Chickasaw Nation is planning to conduct the free rabies clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 5 at Wacker Park in PV
Pet owners should bring a CDIB or tribal citizenship card and their dog or cat to participate in this drive-through clinic.
Vaccination quantities are limited and will be provided while supplies last.
In case of inclement weather, the clinic will be rescheduled.

Also, Valley Hospice and Pauls Valley General Hospital are again offering a grief support group for the community of Pauls Valley and surrounding areas.
Entitled H.O.P.E., which stands for Healing Our Personal Emotions, this program is offered to help individuals recognize grief and loss and help them learn how to cope and live again.
Meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on five straight Tuesday nights, the next round will begin on June 4.
Following the introduction the remaining schedule includes:
• June 11 - What is Grief?
• June 18 - Stages of Grief
• June 25 - Coping with Grief During Special Days
• July 2 - Healing Towards Closure
All the meetings will be offered at Pauls Valley General Hospital’s Loftin Conference Room.
“Our goal is to provide support for individuals experiencing grief,” officials said. “This could be from death, divorce, dealing with an illness or love one’s illness.
“Here is an opportunity for you who grieve to bring your stories and your feelings to others who will understand.”

√ Veteran’s Aid of Oklahoma, Inc. will again soon help out military veterans and their families who plan to file a claim with the Veterans Administration.
This free services comes on the first Wednesday of each month. The next one is set from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 5 at the McClain County Community Building in Purcell, located at 2101 Hardcastle. Those attending are asked to use the north side doors.
Bring along all military records, such as DD form 214, and any and all medical records, both military and civilian, that help support your claim. Also bring all correspondence from the Veterans Administration.
