Wisdom there for PV’s future

By Samantha Robb

This morning, while walking to the office through fallen leaves the color of sunshine and fire that tumbled along the brick paved streets of Pauls Valley, I took a moment to reflect on the future of our country and our community.

Looking forward, I feel very blessed to be working in a community that has been wise enough to make the necessary investments to secure its healthy future.

The people of Pauls Valley work very hard in support of their civic organizations, their students, their church families, and their community in general.

And back in 1997 Pauls Valley had the foresight to add to their formidable assets by becoming a part of the Oklahoma Main Street Program.

For the past 10 years, Main Street Pauls Valley has had a base of loyal volunteers and financial partners who have joined with us to restore the importance of our downtown to both our residents and the many visitors we attract.

It takes people with an interest in supporting our efforts to preserve our traditions and make our future a reality. We would like to invite you to be a part of our efforts!

Won’t you consider becoming a sponsor of Main Street Pauls Valley by making an annual contribution to our program?

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the contributions of our members for our basic operational needs.

Without your support, we would be unable to offer the many benefits of the Main Street Pauls Valley Program, such as Coordinated Promotional Activities, Development of Tourism, Educational Opportunities, and much, much more!

In the coming weeks we will be sending membership information to past sponsors as well as visiting with potential new partners.

Please take the time to review the materials and feel free to contact our office for any questions you may have about the program. I’m looking forward to visiting with many of you about sponsorship.

I’m also looking forward to some of our upcoming events! For those of you “craftier” types, who like to piece a quilt or stitch up an outfit on a crisp fall afternoon, you’ll be glad to know that Main Street and the Chamber of Commerce will be pairing together for the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of M.K.’s Fabric & Notions on South Chickasaw, Ave., (right across from Cook Carson Appliances).

Festivities begin at 9 a.m. and continue till 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 with refreshments, door prizes and great patterns and fabrics to browse through and buy!

Plans are also in gear for our annual Holiday Tour of Homes on December 7th, so be sure to keep a lookout for more information as the date grows near! Until then, I look forward to seeing you…ON MAIN STREET!!!
