PV man suspect in fatality wreck

A Pauls Valley man is suspected of driving drunk before fleeing a one-vehicle fatality accident near Sulphur.

State troopers reported Kevin L. Wallace, 39, is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol when the accident late Thursday night claimed the life of an Ada woman.

Wallace also fled the scene on foot, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers.

An OHP report shows Wallace was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer westbound on a Murray County road when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right as it left the roadway at a listed time of 11:44 p.m. Thursday at a site about five miles south and one mile west of Sulphur.

Troopers reported the vehicle then struck several trees coming to rest approximately 65 feet from the edge of the roadway.

One of four passengers in the vehicle was Jennifer Bohanan, 35, who was first taken by Murray County E.M.S. to Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur.

There she was pronounced dead by a medical examiner’s office.

A report shows she sustained trunk internal and head injuries.

Two other passengers, Ada residents Terry M. Guinn, 22, and Sherie Wallace, 18, were both later treated and released from the same Sulphur hospital.

A fourth passenger, Runelle Deaton, 33, of Davis was treated and released from Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ada.

Investigating the wreck site were troopers from the Garvin/Murray County Detachment. Assisting were Sulphur and Dougherty firefighters and Murray County deputies.
