Aquaman

When it comes to Chris Griffith, water is his domain. Chris is the new Aquatics Supervisor at the Bosa Pool in Pauls Valley and it is something he enjoys more than anything else in his life.

“It’s really great being the Aquatics Supervisor here because I get to do what I love the most. It’s my passion. I’ve been in it forever and I plan to make it my career.

“I use to work at the Slippery Falls Boy Scout Ranch near Tishomingo where I was on the aquatics staff and, besides being the Health Lodge Director, also served as Assistant Aquatics Director,” Chris explained.

“I later worked at Oklahoma City Community College as the Life Guard Supervisor and it was during that time I saw an ad in the Daily Democrat about this position being open.”

After responding to the ad Chris was hired on by the city and in November of last year stepped into his official capacity of Bosa Pool Aquatics Supervisor.

While Chris now makes his home in Pauls Valley, his life actually began in the Southwest part of the country.

Chris was born in Phoenix, Arizona and at the age of one his family moved to Garvin County to be near his grandparents.

His family is very close-knit and they wanted to be closer to the older couple who pastored at the Lindsay First Freewill Baptist Church.

Chris attended school at Lindsay where he graduated with the class of 2007.

Chris is an Eagle Scout and when he’s not in the water he enjoys the outdoor activities he learned in scouting such as backpacking, rock climbing and camping.

Chris’s mother is Kathy Griffith who is the Housing Director at Delta Community Action Agency in Lindsay.

His father is James Rolen who also lives in Lindsay where he works as a rancher.
