Downtown fire

— Crowds quickly gathered in downtown Pauls Valley early Wednesday afternoon when firefighters responded to a structure blaze in the 200 block of South Chickasaw.
By the time firefighters arrived, black smoke was rising from the roof of The Fashion Shop gift and clothing store and in a matter of minutes flames began to soar skyward.
The fire was quickly brought under control after firefighters used a water cannon to extinguish the flames which remained confined to the rooftop.
Pauls Valley Fire Department Captain, Marcus Hamilton, said there was minimal damage sustained from the incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
