Recycling effort now over the top

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — The Pauls Valley Community Foundation has just received a generous donation from the Walmart Distribution Center in the amount of $2,500 for the new local recycling collection center.

The new center, located on Walnut Street in PV, is just south of the Farmer’s Market.

“This contribution puts us over the top and will allow us to do even more recycling projects,” officials said.

Erin Babcock accepted the donation from some of the members of the Walmart DC Community Giving Committee.

Members include Denice Thomason, Brenda Sims, Aaron Westmoreland, Jeremy Leslie and Brian Stay, Charlotte Wood, Skip Judkins, Whinston Dumas, Billy Duke, Chansea Alta, Jodi Wood, Carolyn Pittman, Jacob Faucett, Kristy Elkins, Eddie Kimbrell, Erik Wilson, Chris Brown, Rodney Acox, Brent Holden, Joseph Iraggi, Cindy Campbell, Rafael Lopez and Gayle Windham.

This committee is responsible for approving grants totally more than $25,000 to the local community.

“The Pauls Valley Community Foundation and the Garvin County Community Living Center would like to express our sincere appreciation to Walmart as well as all the other individuals and businesses that helped make this recycling collection center a reality.”
