Missing Cattle Found

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Chief Jerry Flowers of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry’s law enforcement section announced Monday that 22 head of cattle reported missing in Garvin County have been located.

He said the Black Angus and Black Baldy cattle being cared for by local rancher Rusty Halverson are safe in their pasture.

The cattle are owned by John Griswold of Griswold Cattle Company in Stillwater and bear the letters LL on the left hip.

The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association offered a $10,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this theft.

Chief Flowers noted that many tips and calls were received from the public and his office appreciates the attention given to this case.

”As of today, the ODAFF law enforcement section has been notified by Rusty Halverson that he has located his missing cattle,” Flowers said.

”They have been recovered in Pauls Valley.”

Special agents with the law enforcement section of ODAFF are available to investigate livestock theft in every county of the state. Cases may be reported to 405-522-6102.
