Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
The holiday spirit was in the air for sure as a big crowd came out to see Pauls Valley’s annual Christmas parade.
Better known as the Christmas Parade of Lights, the event held Monday night, Dec. 3 brought in plenty of folks to watch and plenty of winners afterwards.
PV’s tourism director Erin Creach said the turnout of both spectators and entries in the parade were pretty outstanding.
“I was very pleased with the turnout,” Creach said.
“The weather was great, and I’m sure that helped bring out so many people,” she said, referring to the unusually warm temperatures out there for early December.
“We had over 40 entries in the parade.”
Adding a lot of Christmas spirit were performances by school choirs from Lee Elementary and Pauls Valley High School.
“I want to acknowledge that we had Ms. Gibson’s fifth and sixth grade choir and Ms. Cloud’s high school choir,” Creach said.
Even more holiday spirit came from the number of donations at the parade to the local Angel Tree campaign.
“We also collected lots and lots of toys for the Angel Tree.”
