Ann Trent Brooks
Ann Trent Brooks passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at the age of 84 in Norman, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Beaty Baptist Church in Pauls Valley, Okla. Interment is set for 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Ardmore, Okla.
Ann was born to David and Ruby (Good) Trent in Ardmore on June 30, 1925. After Ann married Russ Thomas, she followed him throughout the United States and abroad during his military career. After Russ’s death, she relocated to Oklahoma to be closer to her family.
She met and married Robert Brooks in 1996 in Ardmore and the couple settled in Pauls Valley.
A member of Beaty Baptist Church, Ann was active in her church and taught Sunday school. She and Robert enjoyed being together and raising cattle. Ann loved spending time with her family.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David and Ruby (Good) Trent; her husband, Russel Thomas; and two sisters: Pauline Bivins and Edith Good.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Brooks of the home; two daughters: Cynthia A. West of Ardmore, Okla., and Darla Shawn Enarson and husband, Mark, of Blanchard, Okla.; two grandchildren: Sharla and Marci Enarson; and brother, D.M. Trent of McAlester, Okla.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Beaty Baptist building fund, 32090 Airline Road, Pauls Valley, OK 73075.
