Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Thomas Lauren Hodge of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly of Maysville, Oklahoma was born to Orville Raymond and Alice Jean (Braziel) Hodge on July 23, 1941 in Prague, Oklahoma and passed from this life on November 5, 2013 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
Tommy grew up and attended school at Maysville, Oklahoma. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He worked in the oil field for Shebester’s for a number of years, Collins Well Service, and managed Pool Well Service in Yukon. He later worked for Christenson International in Libya. Tommy later started selling and trading knives, marbles, and antiques. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, collecting, and gardening.
Tommy is survived by his daughter Angelia Howry and husband Cleo of Blanchard, Oklahoma; brother Gary Ray Hodge and wife Carolyn of Elmore City, Oklahoma; sister Sue Hodge Phillips and husband Larry of Rye, Colorado; 3 grandchildren: Sarah Rangel and husband Luis of Purcell, Oklahoma, and Josh and Joe Howry of Blanchard, Oklahoma; 2 great-grandchildren: Katelynn and Kyler Rangel; and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Alice Hodge.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Kasey Chapman officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
