Juanita Marie Owens

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Born at Florence Chapel west of Paoli, Juanita Marie Story was born the 9th of 11 children to Tom and Susie Story on January 23, 1929. She passed from this life to be with her Lord and Saviour on June 19, 2014 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.

She and H.J. “Sonny” Owens were married on July 1, 1946 in in Gainesville, Texas. They lived in Levelland, Texas for a number of years then returned to establish their home in Paoli.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Susie Story; her husband H.J. “Sonny” Owens on November 13, 2012; four sisters, five brothers and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children: Linda Ivie of Moore, Donnie Owens and his wife Neva of Pauls Valley, and Ronda Lovin and her husband Rex of Salina, Kansas.

She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Terri Landry, Dalinda Ivie, Chris Owens and Lance Martin; two step grandchildren, Scott and Kevin Sanders; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Story of Wayne; one sister in law, Charlene Peikert of Grand Prairie, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Paoli Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Terry Erwin. Interment was at Paoli Cemetery.
