Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Mary Mildred Jones, 89, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill.

She was born on April 25, 1924 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late James Albert Richards Sr. and Mary Jane Royal Richards.

Mary was raised in Ardmore and in 1970 moved to Madill where she lived the rest of her life. She married Curney W. Jones on June 6, 1942 in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1998.

Mildred was devoted to teaching Sunday school for many years; and working in the church, prayer meetings and singing. Her hobbies were sewing and working in her flower beds and yard. Mildred loved her children and she was always helping children and other families. She was a member of the Family Christian Center Church in Madill.

She is survived by her children Mary L. Isbell and husband Darrell of Madill, Oklahoma, Ruth Eakin and husband Buddy of Kingston, Oklahoma, Pat. M. Bell and husband Jack, Madill of Oklahoma, Eddie W. Jones and Debbie of Madill, Oklahoma, David D. Jones and wife Helen of Kingston, Oklahoma, and Donald E. Jones of Madill, Oklahoma; sister Belva J. Indig of Plano, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mildren was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters Opal E. Roberts and Lavada (Davis) Smith and 4 brothers; Marion O., James A., Tommy and James Eddie Richards.

Visitation will be Monday at Watts Funeral Home in Madill from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Services will be Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill, Oklahoma. Rev. Jesse Ferguson will officiate the services. Music is arranged by Sharon Ferguson. Interment will be at the Province Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
