Lenora Geneva McCaskill Cobb

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Lenora Geneva McCaskill Cobb was born on October 4, 1922 in Davis, Okla., and entered eternal life on February 21, 2014 at the age of 91.

She grew up in the Garvin County area and attended Hennepin Schools before going to Junior High in Katie, Okla., and beginning and graduating high school in Elmore City.

Lenora married Oliver E. Cobb on June 28, 1941. Mrs. Cobb worked in the Infirmary at Southern Oklahoma Resource Center in Pauls Valley and loved doing what she did. Lenora also had many hobbies she enjoyed, such as sewing, cooking and crotcheting. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Lenora loved her family and always lit up whenever the grandkids came to visit. She was a sweet lady with a big heart and was always ready to help someone in need. She did not complain and never judged anyone.

Mrs. Cobb is survived by 1 brother, Bob McCaskill of Rock Springs, Wyoming; children: Marjorie Winton of Oklahoma City, Geneva Fowler and husband Garey of Oklahoma City, Eugene Cobb of Harrah, James Cobb and wife Rhonda of Edmond, Joy Pack and husband Mike of Moore; as well as 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband Oliver E. Cobb; parents James Edgar McCaskill and Rella Jane Griffin McCaskill; brothers Edgar, Horace and John; and sisters Bessie McCaskill, Lillie Mae Helvey, Mildred Garvin and Margaritte Watson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cobb were held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Elmore City Church of Christ with Joe Terrell officiating. Interment followed in the Katie Cemetery.
