Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
James Onial Watson of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Kenneth Watson and Letha D. (McNeill) Smith on April 15, 1944 in Wynewood, Oklahoma and passed from this life on June 1, 2013 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years.
James grew up and attended school in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He moved to California in 1962 where he went to machinist school in the Los Angeles area. In 1972, James moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
James made his home in Wynnewood in 1978. He worked for Halliburton and Perfection Hytest. In his spare time he enjoyed raising chickens and fishing. James loved his dogs and geneology.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Toni of the home; 3 sons: Matthew and Darla Watson of Davis, Oklahoma, Rodney Watson and Angel of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Heath Watson and Rachel of El Reno, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Leatha Rogers and husband Mike of El Reno, Oklahoma; mother, Letha Smith of Elmore City, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren: Sarah, Amy, Jenni, Trevor, Errin, Dustin, Richie, Zhane, Tabitha, Cassandra, Angel and Ashley; 7 great-grandchildren: Clifford, Little Sarah, Jonathan, Lindsey, Braxton, Gabriella, and Carmen; 2 step daughters: Teresa McCracken and husband Joe of Wynnewood, Okla., and Christy Smeltzer of Wynnewood, Okla.; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Davis, Oklahoma with Rev. James Thomas officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
