Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Karen Louantha Jacks of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Joseph Glen “Wildfire” and Clara Imogene “Bob” (Milligan) Crouch on November 17, 1940 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 2, 2013 in Davis, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
Karen grew up and graduated high school in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. On June 7, 1960, Karen married Billy M. Jacks at the First Baptist Church in Pauls Valley. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Steppin’ Out.
Karen was a member of the Tuesday Morning Coffee Cup Bowling League. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting and yard work. The highlights of her life were her grandkids and great-grandchild.
Mrs. Jacks is survived by her husband Billy M. Jacks of the home; daughters Debra Johnson and husband Larry of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Penny Nelson and husband Chuck of Elmore City, Oklahoma; brothers Mike Crouch and wife Janet of Houston, Texas, and Pat Crouch and wife Jayne of Norco, California; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Osborne and husband Jonathan of Pauls Valley, Okla., Holly and Ryan Johnson of Elmore City, Okla., and Rachael and Joshua Nelson of Elmore City, Okla.; and great-grandson Jonathan Osborne Jr. of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Jacks was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Clara Crouch.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m.Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at in the Elmore City First Baptist Church with Rev. Smokey Hurst officiating.
Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
