Wesley C. Tyler of Davis, Okla., entered this life born to John Wesley Tyler and Dorfie Gertrude (Smith) Tyler on June 11, 1930 in Konawa, Okla., and entered eternal life on June 23, 2013 at the age of 83 years.
Wesley Tyler and Wanda Lewis were married on April 12, 1952 in Ardmore, Okla.
He had worked in the oilfield as a welder for Dolese and retired after 15 years as an oilfield pumper. He had also worked for the Garvin County yard in Stratford, Okla.
Wesley was a member of the Stratford Round-Up Club. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Wesley was a good husband and father. Home and family were paramount in his life. He taught his sons to do things the right way, always be courteous and polite, and do what is right.
Wesley is survived by his wife Wanda Tyler; sons Ronnie Tyler of Konawa, Okla., and Wesley Allen Tyler of Paoli, Okla.; brothers Roy Tyler of Stratford, Okla., Bobby Tyler of Ada, Okla., and Johnny Tyler of Pickett Center, Okla.; sisters Agnes Williams of Seminole, Okla., Virginia Ruth Story of Tennessee, and Patsy Goins of Oregon; five grandchildren and eight-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Wesley Tyler are scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 2 p.m.in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel.
