Pauls Valley, Oklahoma —
Truman Lee McCurley, 72, formerly of Pauls Valley, passed from this life April 17, 2014 with his family at his bed side at home. Truman made his home in Tulsa.
Lee as he was known after his high school years, he attended school in Garvin County starting at Union Springs, Civit and he graduated from Pauls Valley High.
After graduation he served in the Army. Upon returning from the military he met and married Barbara Boles and lived in Chicago and New Jersey before returning to Tulsa, Okla., when he owned and operated the Tulsa Cash Register Company until he was forced to retire because of health problems.
Barbara and Lee were married 53 1/2 years. To this union were three daughters.
His family surviving him include his daughters: Kathy McCurley of Tulsa, Karen McCurley of Tulsa, and Kelly Faust and husband Terry of Olympia, Washington; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one sister Shirley Couch, and one brother Burney McCurley, both of Pauls Valley; nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and loved ones and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Lee McCurley, mother Winifred Wilma McGregor McCurley, sisters Charlotte LaJune Lytle and Christine Hayes, and two brothers-in-law Hubert Couch and Donald Hays.
Viewing will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mark Griffith Funeral Home, 4423 S. 33rd W. Avenue, Tulsa.
A Rosary will be Wednesday, April 23 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 4532 S. 25th W. Avenue in Tulsa.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Green Country Hospice in Tulsa, 22 S. Boston, Suite 200, 74119
Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery in Antioch, Okla., on a date to be announced at a later time.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Tulsa.
