marie@pvdemocrat.com — Frank Charles Potts Jr. was born on June 24, 1949 in Richmond, Virginia to Frank Charles Potts Sr. and Flora Alice (Conley) Potts. Frank entered eternal life on Februay 7, 2013 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 63.

Frank attended schools in the Pauls Valley School system.

On October 12, 1968 he married Karen Kay Sims in Pauls Valley. Through it all, the good times and bad; the thick and the thin; they were inseperable for nearly 45 years.

Frank worked a good portion of his life in the oil field. He worked for many different companies including Dowell, Oklahoma Casing and Weatherford just to name a few.

In 1995 he started working for the Wynnewood Refinery in security. He later became the senior surpervisor over security for the refinery. He worked in that capacity until August 2012 when he retired due to deteriorating health.

In his spare time Frank enjoyed fishing with his children, golfing, computer games and giving his friends, family and co-workers a hard time. He loved to attend Paoli athletic events to watch his sons and grandsons play sports and coach.

Frank is preceded in death by his father, Frank Charles Potts Sr; two sisters, Flora Jean and Brenda Sue; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Goldie Potts and maternal grandparents, Irving and Mattie Conley; and nephews Chase Hunt and Darron Potts.

Frank is survived by his wife Karen Potts (who Frank called his beautiful girlfriend) of the home, his mother, Flora; three daughters: Cindy Lynn and husband Gary of Foster, Janice Beasley and husband Billy of Pauls Valley, and Ashley Potts of Paoli.

He is also survived by three sons: Allen Potts of Paoli, Aaron Potts of Ada, Okla., and Frank Potts III and wife Libby of Paoli.

Surviving grandchildren include Seth Potts, Dustyn Beasley and Jared and Caitlin Lynn. Surviving siblings include brothers Kenny and David Potts and a sister Gina Hunt.

Frank’s strength, wisdom, perserverance, sense of humor and work ethic will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral services were scheduled for Monday February 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Clark officiating. Interment followed in the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
