Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Lou Ballard of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Reed E. and Louedia (Hall) Creason on December 11, 1922 in Liberty, Missouri and passed from this life on April 21, 2013 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years.
Mrs. Ballard married Edward Joseph Ballard on February 6, 1942. She was an accountant for years at the family automobile dealership. Lou was a member of the Altar Society at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, La Madre Study Club, and the Pauls Valley Hospital Auxillary. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Ballard is survived by her daughters: Mary Jo Tatum and her husband Hank of Dallas, and Rita Cole and husband Stuart of Pauls Valley; brothers Russell Creason and Jim Creason; sisters June Porter and Joy Logston; 4 grandchildren: Joli Zakrzewski and her husband Gene, Jed Cole and his wife Meagan, Adam Cole and his wife Ingrid, and Ryan Weaver and his wife Janet; and 5 great-grandchildren: Kaleigh Weaver, Allison Weaver, Karis Cole, Keller Cole, and Alayna Zakrzewski
Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by her husband Edward Ballard; parents Reed and Louedia Creason; brothers Major Creason, Howard Creason, Bob Creason, Jack Creason and Jerry Creason; and sisters Judy Creason and Faye Stauffer.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Interment followed in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
