Travis Duane Lambert of Stratford was born January 2, 1943 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Jack and Vivian (Critchfield) Lambert.
He passed away March 19, 2013 surrounded by his family at his home near Stratford, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 17 days.
Travis graduated from Stratford High School and then he served our country in the United States Air Force. He married Caroline Foshee in Gilbert, Arizona on April 25, 1964. He worked for British Petroleum.
He and Caroline made their home in Stratford and have lived here most of his life. Travis is a deacon in Stratford First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian, and one brother Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Lambert of the home in Stratford; 1 son, Wade Lambert and wife Kristy of Wilson, Okla.; 1 daughter, Sheryl Holland and husband Bobby of Ada, Okla.; 4 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Judy Watson and husband Roy of Stratford, and Vicky Cook and husband Danny of Midwest, City; father, Jack Lambert; and 1 sister-in-law, Sherry Lambert of Tuson, Ariz.
Services will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Stratford First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Russell Duck, Rev. Tim Ohls and Rev. Keith Stevens.
Burial was in McGee Cemetery in Stratford, Okla., under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were be Charles McAfee, Merlin Lee, Alvin Russ, Jimmy Ashley, Ed O’Neal, Charles Dial, and Jerry Ashley. Honorary Pallbearers are Shannon Tice, Buster Green, Billy Hickman, and Patrick Sullivan.
