Clarice Swinney, 87, passed away peacefully at home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma into the arms of her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2012.
Clarice was born September 21, 1925 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Nora (White) Pharaoh, the third of six children.
Clarice graduated from Maysville High School and later worked at Douglas Air Force Base and was active in the USO during the war effort during World War II.
Clarice married Roy H. Swinney in Maysville in 1949. She was active in the First Baptist Church teaching Sunday School, was a member of Eastern Star and worked many years at Stufflebean Gifts. She was happiest spending time with her family and friends.
Clarice is preceded in death by three brothers: Rev. Bill Pharaoh of Norman, Clarence Pharaoh of Maysville and Jimmy Pharaoh of Moore.
Clarice is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy H. Swinney of the home; one brother, Steve Pharaoh and his wife Betty of Crane, Texas; and one sister, Fannie Stansbury of Lindsay.
She is also survived by two children: Dan Swinney and his wife Barbara of Yukon, and Vicky Morris and her husband Bruce of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren: Dana Gibson of Pauls Valley, Danny Swinney of Edmond, Camille Tankersley of Houston, Texas, Brice Morris of Austin, Texas, and Ben Eaves of Clinton; and seven great-grandchildren: Justin Gibson, Chloe Nunez, Zach Davis, Connor Swinney, Pierce Tankersley, Preston Tankersley and Elyse Eaves.
Gracious thanks are extended to the many friends for their acts of kindness to the family of Clarice Swinney.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr. Joe Elam.
Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
