Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Jim (Unc) Bonner of Pauls Valley passed away August 9, 2013 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.
Jim was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on September 18, 1936 to Raymond and Maggie (Mayberry) Bonner.
He and Phyllis Williams were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on Christmas night, December 25, 1996. He was a Dry Wall Contractor and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. On February 26, 1963 he received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army. Pauls Valley has been his home most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Maggie Bonner; son, Ray Bonner; daughter, Jamie Bonner; sister, Oletha Lawrence; brothers, Leon, Jerald and Glendon Bonner.
Surviving family include his wife of over 16 years, Phyllis Bonner of the home; four sons: Gary Bonner and his wife Teresa of Noble, Jerry Bonner and his wife Yong of Midwest City, Carey Bonner and his wife Sherry of Lexington, and Mike Bonner and his wife Keely of Mansfield, Texas; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation has been scheduled for Monday, August 12, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials have been request in Jim’s name to go to King’s Kids in Pauls Valley.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 13, at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Pastor Dwayne Johnson.
Interment was at Hopping Cemetery at Wayne under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
