Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Phyllis (Miller) Summers, 76, was born February 8, 1937 to E. M. (Mance) Miller and Anna Bell (Seawright) Miller at Bray, Oklahoma.

She attended the Bray Public Schools for 12 years and then she went to Oklahoma College for Women at Chickasha, Oklahoma receiving her B.S. degree in 1959.

She was active in her church and community activities. She served two terms as PTA president of Jefferson Schools, one two-year term as treasurer of the Garvin County Extension Homemakers Council.

One of her favorite activitities was to cook at Falls Creek which she did for several years.

After her daughters were in school, she went to work as a teacher’s aide at the Pauls Valley Junior High School, later the Middle School where she worked for 22 years.
