Four Pauls Valley Panthers qualified for the Class 3A State Tennis Tournament that begins Friday at the OKC Tennis Center. The Panthers qualified at one doubles and two doubles and finished third as a team behind Oklahoma Christian and OKC Classen.
Roddy Casey, Domingo Hernandez, Reggie Blow and Brian Rockwell all qualified for state after finishing in the top four in the Pauls Valley regional held Monday at the Wacker Park Tennis Complex.
At one doubles, Roddy Casey and Domingo Hernandez, finished third after beating Pruthi and Sergent of Classen in the third place match. They finished behind Bell and Pebow of OCS and Byng's Souza and Hunt.
At two doubles, Reggie Blowe and Brian Rockwell finished third after beating Vo and Seidler of Classen in the third place match. They finished behind Parduhn and Thompson of OCS and Rosson and Monjaraz of Byng.
At one singles, Jefferson Berryman of OCS was first, Jonah Gerth of Classen second, Anthony Alfonso of Purcell third and Wade Pierce of St. Mary fourth.
In two singles, Ryan Witham of OCS was first, Chris Chan of Classen second, Toby Rives of St. Mary third and Cody Tramble of Antlers fourth.
OCS won the regional with 48 points, Classen was second with 36, Pauls Valley third with 32, St. Mary's fourth with 30 and Byng fifth with 26.
