Pauls Valley Democrat
Pauls Valley jumped out to an early lead on Wynnewood Monday night at Wacker Baseball Stadium in Pauls Valley. The Savages rallied with a six-run sixth to rally past the Panthers 8-7 for their third straight win over PV.
PV struck for four runs in the opening inning. Ty Knight doubled to start the game. Drake O’Bryant singled him home and Flores was hit by a pitch to put runners at second and third. Daniel Brown reached on an error to load the bases. Treston Williams singled scoring two and Tyler Butts hard hit ball scored Brown for a 4-0 lead.
Wynnewood would cut the lead in half in the third as Brown and Phillips reached on back-to-back singles and scored on Campbell’s double.
PV got back a run in the bottom half of the inning as Daniel Brown hit a shot over the left field wall for a 5-2 lead.
The score would stay that way until the sixth when Wynnewood plated six runs. Back-to-back errors on hits by Morris and Durbecq got the inning started. Son’s double scored both runners and Son scored on an error off Brown’s two out grounder.
Phillips then singled scoring Brown. Wright would walk and move around to second as Phillips scored on a passed ball and Wright scored on a wild pitch for an 8-5 lead.
PV rallied in the sixth as Wimblerly singled and Knight walked. Both runners scored on O’Bryant’s double to cut the lead to 8-7 and win.
