PV turns hat-trick on the links

Pauls Valley Democrat — The Pauls Valley varsity golfers turned a hat-trick this year having won three consecutive conference titles.

The Panthers ran away from the field shooting a 322 and finishing 26 strokes ahead of Marlow. Newcastle was third with a 364, Lindsay fourth with a 365 and Sulphur fifth with a 372.

All five Pauls Valley golfers finished in the top 10 earning them a spot on the All-Conference team. Daniel Whitehouse, and Micah Godfrey both shot 79, Garrett Fisher and Matt Henry both shot 82 and Derick Brewer shot an 84.

This was also the third year in a row that Whitehouse, Henry and Fisher have made the All-Conference team.


The varsity Lady Panthers finished second at the Sulphur Invitational this week shooting a 421. Ada was first with a 405 and Dickson was third with a 425.

Desa Brewer came in second in the individual medalists race with an 89.

Other Pauls Valley scores were Jia Tu 108, Molly Livingston 110, and Kallie McMahan 114.
