PV wins pitching duel at the Brick — Under the big lights of the Bricktown Ballpark for the Pauls Valley Panthers and Bethany Bronchos it was the pitchers that shined.

Pauls Valley’s Drake O’Bryant won his third game of the year out dueling Reed of Bethany in a 1-0 shutout,

O’Bryant has been brilliant in his three starts. Friday night he gave up three hits on the night while striking out 4 and walking only one.

He got his first shutout of the year as the Panther defense did its job and didn’t commit an error.

The Panther offense pounded out five hits on the night but they didn’t cross the plate until the bottom half of the final inning when they had three hits.

Tanner Hamilton singled to start the bottom half of the inning. Williamson then singled. Both advanced 90-feet on a ground out by Cody Ward.

Hamilton got out in a pickle between third and home for the second out of the inning.

Ty Knight ended the game when he hit a line shot down the third base line and beat out the throw as Williamson scored the winning run.

Knight, Hamilton, Williamson, David Flores and Treston Williams all had singles in the game.

The Panthers will put their 5-0 record on the line Monday as they return to Wacker Stadium to face the Little Axe Indians.

Pauls Valley will play at rival Wynnewood on Tuesday. First pitch both days is at 4:30 p.m
