Lady Panthers 2nd at regionals

Pauls Valley Democrat — The Pauls Valley Lady Panthers had a great outing at Madill in regional track competion finishing as the Class 4A runner-up behind Plainview.

The Panthers were seventh in the same regional and both will be sending several runners to the state meet this weekend in Ardmore.

In the girls competition, Amber Fields finished fifth in the 200 meter dash in a time of 27.41. Madeline Crawford was third in the 400 meter dash woth a time of 1:02.11.

Kalee Upton finsihed sixth in the 1600 meter run in a time of 5:59.67. Veronica Alvarado was sixth in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 17.84.

Claire Grimmett brought home gold in the 300 meter hurdles winning in a time of 48.11.

Mary Beth Balcerak also won gold winning the high jump with a leap of 5-4. Kaci Holt won silver in the pole vault with a leap of 9-0.

Tristen Ledbetter won the bronze in the long jump with a jump of 15-04.50.

Maddie Caldwell won bronze in the shot put with a throw of 37-07 and was fifth in the discus with a toss of 96-01.

In the relay events Pauls Valley was fifth in the 4 x 800 meter relay in a time of 10:55.52. That team consisted of Kalee Upton, Madison Wolf, Samantha Cozart and Charity Trammell.

The 4 x 400 relay team of Madeline Crawford, Amber Fields, Charity Trammell and Claire Grimmett won bronze in a time of 4:18.42. That same group of girls finished fourth in the 4 x 200 meter relay.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team was sixth with a tie of 52.64. Team members were Madeline Crawford, Claire Grimmett, Alexus Waddles and Amber Fields.

On the boys side, JC Eyabi was seventh in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.11.

Orbik Campos finished sixth in the 3200 meter run in a time of 11:13.51

The boys relay team of Noah Meave, Emanuel Martin, Dewayne Sanders and JC Eyabi captured gold in the 4 x 100 in a time of 45.10.

Nathan Wood, Orbik Campos, Micah McCarty and Terril Ferris finished sixth in the 4 x 800 realy in a time of 9:03.52.

Ty Jordan won bronze in the shot put with a tos of 43-03.
