Badgers get win over rival Maysville — The Elmore City-Pernell Badgers got back into the win column Thursday night before a capacity crowd Wheeler Field.

Elmore-Pernell used their running game to blitz the Maysville Warriors 55-13.

The Badgers were celebrating homecoming and Ms. Cali Nelson was crowned the queen.

ECP had a huge night on the ground rushing for 450 yards.

Edgar Gonzalez continued to rack up the yardage with over 100 yards but it was Cole Ratchford who had a career night with 211 yards on 17 carries and three touchdowns.

Gonzalez finished with 140 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns.

Derek Medford had seven carries for 51 yards and a touchdown and Tyler Sharp had 36 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown.

Sharp was also 1-of-2 for 53 yards passing and a touchdown.

Maysvlle had 193 yards in total offense 130 through the air and 63 on the ground.

Quarterback Trey Willoughby had all the passing as he was 6-of-18 with three interceptions and two touchdowns.

Dalton Elmore led the rushing attack with 46 yards on 12 carries.

Dakota Henry was Willoughby’s favorite targe with 3 catches for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Cale Bailey had 2 catches for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Elmore led the Maysville defense with 18 tackles.

Zach Ashbey and Henry both had 12 tackles.

Elmore-Pernell will go out of district this week to host Community Christian.

Maysville will be at home to entertain Caddo. The Bruins were a 51-7 loser at home to Wynnewood Thursday.
