Panthers look for soap, towels

marie@pvdemocrat.com — The Pauls Valley Panthers are set for what’s called a “soap and towel” scrimmage when Washington comes to town on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The 7th and 8th grade players get things started at 5 p.m. here in PV.

They will scrimmage Washington’s 7th and 8th graders simultaneously at both ends of the game field.

The freshmen/junior varsity will begin at approximately 6:15 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

With this being the “soap and towel” scrimmage there will be no admission charge.

The athletic department does ask for donations of soap, preferably body wash/gel for showering, laundry detergent for washing gear, such as high efficiency pods or liquid, and bath towels.

Any and all donations will be accepted.

Both junior high players and high school players will benefit from the donated supplies.
