marie@pvdemocrat.com — A battle of tailbacks could erupt Friday night in Pond Creek.

The Panthers Brady Krittenbrink will tangle with Paoli’s duel threat in Aaron Webster and Josiah Gibson in the opening round of the Class B playoffs.

Both teams average over 300 yards per game on the ground. Krittenbrink leads Class B with 1,736 yards and 27 touchdowns. He is a major part of the Panthers offense and defense.

The Pugs will counter with their dual threat of Webster and Gibson. The two have combined for 2,690 yards and 38 touchdowns. Gibson has 1,370 yards with 21 TD’s and Webster had 1,320 yards with 17 TD’s.

Josh Irvin guides the Panther offense at quarterback and has thrown for 1,026 yards and 12 touchdowns against 4 interceptions.

His favorite targets are Trenton Grimes who has over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns and Deven McKee who has almost 300 yards and a touchdown.

Karson Marsh (5-11, 275) and T.J. Krittenbrink (6-2, 240) anchor the offensive line.

Defensively, B. Krittenbrink leads the attack with 107 tackles on the year. Austin Matlack has added 93 tackles and Zach Rayner has 7 interceptions.

PC-Hunter has only one blemish on their record, a loss to No. 1 Laverne in district battle.
