Stanley Eastman Foster

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Stanley Eastman Foster, age 74, passed away December 17, 2013, in Norman, Okla. Services will be Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. in The Chapel at Griffin-Hillcrest in Ardmore. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Stanley was born May 20, 1939 to Dewey Foster and Julia (Colbert) Foster.Stanley graduated as the President of the Class of 1957 at Mannsville High School. He also served as the Justice of the Peace in Carter County.

He married Donna Turner on December 30, 1976, in Tishomingo, Okla. Stanley went to work for the Chickasaw Nation in 1976, serving in various positions over the years until the time of his passing, his position was assistant to the governor. He worked for the Chickasaw Nation for 35 plus year.

Stanley was a member of the Elk Lodge, JC’s Past President 1971, Ardmore Shriners Club Past President 1989, Masonic Blue Lodge #25, in Lone Grove, Okla., Ardmore Charity Club, and Chairman of Chickasaw Nation Revenge of the Bulls.

Stanley loved spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid rodeo fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Dean Foster and Harry Foster.

Stanley is survived by his wife Donna Foster of the home; sons Steven Warren and fiancé Jeanie Chapman of Pauls Valley, Okla., and Michael Todd Warren and wife Cricket of Pauls Valley, Okla.; grandchildren Matthew Warren and Maggie Warren of Pauls Valley, Okla.; and two brothers Charles Foster of Azel, Texas, and John Foster and wife Janene of Allen, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Doug Loder, Don Wallace, Sam Daube, Charles Williams, Billy Stromberg, and Guy Bacon.

Honorary bearers are David Hatton, Gov. Bill Anoatubby, Gov. Overton James, Lt. Gov. Jefferson Keel, Fred Hightower, Hadley Barrett, and Bennie Beutler.

Candy seeking kids got a chance to get their fill of treats Saturday at Easter events like the 12th Annual Eggstravaganza at the Garvin County Fairgrounds and smaller hunts like those at Pauls Valley's First Christian Church.
