Lady Panthers second at PV Invitational

marie@pvdemocrat.com — The Pauls Valley Lady Panthers finished 2nd Friday in the Pauls Valley Invitational held at Thompson Field. PV finished behind Ardmore at the meet the featured a lot of bigger schools.

The Lady Panthers had several first place finishes and three second place finishes in the relay events. 

Gold medal winners included Mariah McClellan in the 200 meter dash as she finished in a time of 26.65. Mady Thompson was fifth in a time of 28.03. 

Madie Caldwell was a double gold winner placing first in the discus and shot put. She won the shot put with a throw of 38 feet even. She won the discus with a throw of 115-4. Teammate Jazmine Mudhar was third with a toss of 92-9.

Claire Grimmett was a double gold medal winner. She won the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 47.40. She also won the long jump with a jump of 16-4. Tristen Ledbetter was second in the lone jump with a jump of 16-1.75 and Whittni Huckabaa was fifth in a jump of 14-1.

Mary Beth Balcerak won gold in the high jump with a jump of 5-4. Amanda Upton was second with a jump of 5-0.

Kaci Holt won the pole vault with a jump of 9-0.

Madeleine Crawford won silver in the 400 meter dash in a time of 65.07.

Kalie Upton was fifth in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:43.81.

All three relay teams won second.

Crawford, McClellan, Ledbetter and Thompson finished second in the 4 x 100 meter relay in a time of 52.11.

Crawford, McClellan, Grimmett and Thompson finished second in the 4 x 200 meter relay in a time of 1:44.29.

Crawford, Thompson, McClellan and Grimmett finished second in the 4 x 400 meter relay in a time of 4:25.43.

Prep Team Finish

The Pauls Valley Panther Prep Team finished second in the OK Kids State Tournament losing in the championship game to Weathford 11-9.
