PV wins 4th straight — Pauls Valley won its fourthglame in a row after winning three straight over the weekend in the Panther Festival.

The Festival was supposed to be a tournament but rain forced its cancellation and the field changed to a festival where each team was guaranteed three games.

The Panthers got great pitching in all three games allowing only five runs two of which were earned.

Eddie Johnson pitched a three hit shutout against Lindsay. Johnson had 2 base on balls and 6 strikeouts in the win.

Nick Sager, Tyler Butts, Treston Williams and Matt Perry all had hits in the win.

Butts had a huge game on the mound against Madill in a 4-3 win. Butts gave up three runs, none earned on three hits. He walked only one but struck out a season high 10.

The Panthers took advantage of 8 walks and two errors by Madill for the win. Perry had the only hit of the game for PV.

Williams gave up the only two earned runs in the festival by a Pauls Valley pitcher but picked up a huge 3-2 over Washington.

Williams gave up the two runs on 5 hits. He walked three but had a season high 10 strikeouts.

Tanner Hamilton, Williams and Devin Baker each had hits and Butts was the only player with multiple hits.

For the weekend, Butts and Perry both led the offense with three hits each. Williams added two.

Butts was the only Panther player with an extra base hit as he doubled against Washington.

Pauls Valley will host Purcell on Thursday and will be at Washington on Friday.
