This house along Gardner Street on the East side of Pauls Valley was the second such major house blaze in the past couple of weeks. Here PV Fire Fighters respond to the inferno that took at least two and a half hours as the high winds made it difficult to put flames out.

Area bridge now closed indefinitely
Residents of Purcell and Lexington, still reeling from the closure of the U.S. Highway 77 and State Highway 39 bridge connecting the two cities, will have to wait until all repairs are made to the bridge before it can be opened to any vehicle traffic.
