Wreck takes life of Foster man

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — State troopers are still looking into all the things that led to an accident this week resulting in the death of a Foster man.

Killed in the accident was 30-year-old John Webb.

An investigation is still ongoing for the two-vehicle accident this past Monday in nearby Stephens County.

A report released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol shows Webb was alone while riding a 1994 Suzuki motorcycle.

Webb, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, was riding southbound on a Stephens County road.

At the same time a 1996 Chevy pickup driven by Jerry Condit, 75, also of Foster, was coming from the opposite direction on the same county road.

Troopers reported the pickup was attempting to turn into a private drive when it was struck by the cycle driven by Webb.

The listed time was 6:21 a.m. Monday, June 16 at a site about 2 1/2 miles south of state Highway 29.

Webb was officially pronounced dead at the scene from massive head and trunk internal injuries.

Later Webb was taken to Wooster Funeral Home in Pauls Valley.

A remembrance ceremony has been scheduled for Saturday afernoon, June 21 at Webb’s family home west of Elmore City.

Troopers reported Condit was not injured in the accident.

The cause of the accident was listed as “under investigation,” according to the report.

Investigating the crash site was OHP Trooper Mitchell Conley of the Jefferson County Detachment.

Assisting were Trooper John Toombs of the Comanche County Detachment and Trooper Jason Riddle of OHP’s Troop G Special Investigations.

Others at the scene were Stephens County deputies and Bray-Doyle firefighters.
