Bobby Haigood

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Bobby Haigood, a resident of Wynnewood, Okla., was born on June 25, 1935 in Clay County, Texas to Lucy (Seigler) and W.O. Haigood. Mr. Haigood passed away on February 21, 2014 at Sulphur, OK at the age of 78.

Bobby married Betty Louise (Brown) on December 6, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas and they spent 61 years together. A few years after their marriage in 1966 Mr. Haigood and his family relocated to Oklahoma where he would spend the rest of his life.

During his life Mr. Haigood worked for and retired from Kerr-McGee Refinery after 27 years of service. He also owned and operated his own heat and air conditioning company. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife Betty Louise Haigood of their home in Wynnewood, Okla.; 3 sons - Rick Haigood and wife Donna of Roff, Okla., Steve Haigood and wife Susan of Pauls Valley, Okla., and Brent Haigood of Katy, Texas; daughter Lisa Giltner and husband Doug of Wynnewood, Okla.; 2 brothers - Marshall Haigood and wife Doris of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Finley Haigood and wife Doris of Bellevue, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the DeArman Funeral Chapel in Wynnewood, Okla., officiated by Rev. Claud Williams. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.

Prep Team Finish

The Pauls Valley Panther Prep Team finished second in the OK Kids State Tournament losing in the championship game to Weathford 11-9.
