Gary Don Parkey

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Gary Don Parkey, 69, of Paoli, Oklahoma was born May 31, 1944 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Harold “John” and Charolette Parkey, and entered this life on April 4, 2014.

Gary worked for commercial body shops. He loved to repair wrecked vehicles and paint them also. He later opened his own body and repair shop. When Gary finished a car, it was beautiful. He also started doing work on motorcycles as well.

On September 11, 1986 he married Mildred and they began their journey together. Gary and Mildred loved to travel on their motorcycle. They also enjoyed going camping and drinking coffee with their friends.

Gary, you will always hold a special place in our hearts. All the memories cannot be taken away. We love and miss you so much.

Mr. Parkey is survived by his wife Mildred of the home; daughters Tina and husband Jeff of Lindsay, Okla., and Amanda of Pauls Valley, Okla.; brother Harold and his wife Mitz of Spearfish, South Dakota; grandchildren: Jeremy, Nicholas, Britney, Tyler and Macey; two great-grandchildren: Bailey and Nathan; nieces Nicole and her husband Guy and Amber and her husband Larry; uncle: James McKay, many sweet loving cousins, as well as Gary and Mildred’s dog, CoCo.

He is preceded in death by his father Harold “John” Parkey and step-mother Flora Parkey; mother Charolette Jackson and step-father Danny Jackson; daughter Denise and her two sons Chad and Rusty; and Mildred’s dogs: Bud and Tootsie.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Parkey are scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Jeff Litty officiating.
