Lady Panthers second at Marietta meet — For the second time this season the Pauls Valley Lady Panthers finished as the runner-up in a track meet behind Plainview. Pauls Valley finished with 120 points at Marietta just behind Plainview for the runner-up spot.

Pauls Valley picked up a majority of points in the relay events. The Lady Panthers finished second in three of the four relay events and fourth in the other.

In the 4x100 relay, PV finished second in a time of :51.98. Tristen Ledbetter, Mariah McClellan, Alexus Waddles and Mady Thompson ran in the event.

IN the 4x200 relay, Pauls Valley finished second in a time of 1:49.7. Madeleine Crawford, Mariah McClellan, Alexus Waddles and Maddy Thompson ran in the event.

IN the 4x400 relay, Pauls Valley was second in a time of 4:19.68. Madeleine Crawford, Mady Thompson, Clarie Grimmett and Mariah McClellan ran in the event.

In the 4x800 relay, Pauls Valley finished fourth in a time of 10:30.05. Madeleine Crawford, Kaylie Upton, Clarie Grimmett, and Samantha Cozart ran in the event.

Individually, Pauls Valley picked up three gold medals and a few silver medals.

In the gold medal department, Madelyn Caldwell, Mary Beth Balcerak and Mariah McClellan all finished first.

Caldwell won gold in the shot put with a throw of 38-feet 9-inches. She also won bronze (third) in the discus with a toss of 118-feet 6-inches.

McClellan added to her medals in the relay events with a first place finish in the 200 meter dash. She won the event in a time of :26.25.

Balcerak won gold in the high jump with a jump of 5-foot 3-inches.

Claire Grimmett added to her medal count with two silver medals. She was second in the long jump with a leap of 16-feet 4-inches. She was also second in the 300 meter hurdles finishing in a time of :48.83.

Tristen Ledbetter finished with a bronze medal in the long jump with a jump of 15-feet 5.5-inches. She was fifth in the 100 meter dash in a time of :13.2.

Madeleine Crawford was fourth in the 400 meter dash in a time of :62.55.

Jazmine Mudhar was fifth in the discus with a toss of 94-feet 10.25-inches.

Alexus Waddles was sixth in the 100 meter dash in a time of :13.38. Kaci Holt was sixth in the pole vault with a jump of 8-feet 6-inches.

Pauls Valley will be at home tonight in the Canadian Valley Conference meet that begins at 4 p.m. at Thompson Field.

They will also be home on Friday for the Pauls Valley Invitational. That meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. at Thompson Field.

Prep Team Finish

The Pauls Valley Panther Prep Team finished second in the OK Kids State Tournament losing in the championship game to Weathford 11-9.
