Shirley Wortman Messinger

Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Shirley Wortman Messinger, 74, of Purcell passed away Nov. 22, 2012 in Oklahoma City. She was born Jan. 19, 1938 in Tyler, Texas to Fred Alvin and Pauline Wortman.

Shirley moved to Purcell in 2001. Prior to that, she was a longtime resident of Denton Texas. In recent years she attended Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay.

Funeral services were held Monday morning, Nov. 26 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay with Pastor Randy Allen officiating and eulogy by Danny Simonton. Interment was that afternoon at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, Texas.

Services were under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay.
