The Cross Timbers Hospice team is readying pies as part of a fundraiser to benefit this year's Relay
What the team is doing is a pie in the face race.
Buckets have been placed at The Hen House in Hennepin and the Garvin County Sheriff's Office and Garvin County commissioners' office in the county courthouse in Pauls Valley.
The public is encouraged to place a donation in the bucket of their choice as the winner has a representative who will get a pie in the face.
The three candidates are Hennepin Fire Chief Jeff Doss, Garvin County Undersheriff Jim Mullett and Garvin County District 2 Commissioner Gary Ayres.
That winner of the pie in the face race will be announced at a pancake supper and pie auction set for a 6 p.m. start on Saturday, May 5 at the Hennepin Fire Department.
The Cross Timbers team is also raffling off a handmade picnic table, as chances are one for $5 or five for $20, and a faith basket – chances are $1 each or six for $5.
Anyone wanting chances for the raffle or questions for the pie in the face race can call Cross Timbers Hospice at 580-369-5335.
