JH students get February honor

February's Students of the Month at Pauls Valley Junior High are Arletha Meza, Brett Alfred, Lolo Day, Samuel Yates, Leigha Gaston and Garvin Crouch.

The Pauls Valley Students of the Month for February 2019 are seventh grade Arletha Meza and Brett Alfred, eighth grade Lolo Day and Samuel Yates and ninth grade Leigha Gaston and Garvin Crouch.

• Arletha Meza is the daughter of Erika and Antonio Meza.

Her hobbies include drawing and playing clarinet. At school Arletha plays in band. Her plans for the future are to become a clothes designer.

• Brett Alfred is the son of Michelle and Joey Alfred.

His hobbies include fishing, playing video games and eating. At school he plays football, golf, and basketball. In the future he plans to go to college.

• Lolo Day is the daughter of Angie and Michael Day.

Her hobbies including playing her ukulele and guitar, hanging out with her friends, learning new languages, singing, writing and playing video games. At school she participates in high school band, jazz band and woodwind choir. Lolo states that music is her life and after she graduates she plans on going to the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

• Samuel Yates is the son of Cara and Paul Yates.

Samuel’s hobbies include riding bikes and building Legos. At school he plays in the band. In the future he plans to attend college and get a degree in computer science/coding and graphic design.

• Leigha Gaston is the daughter of Rebecca Sherrill and Jason Gaston.

Her hobbies include reading and drawing. She also enjoys being a library aide at school. In the future she plans to attend college and attain a degree in psychology.

• Gavin Crouch is the son of Kari and Joe Crouch.

His hobbies include playing video games, golf, watching TV and playing street ball. At school Gavin plays basketball and baseball. His future plans are to attend college and earn a degree in architecture and construction management.
