A whole lot of volunteers are now out there in full force fundraising for the second Love PV campaign.
Last year's first drive, described as a “huge success,” raised enough money to provide school supplies to virtually every Pauls Valley and Whitebead student at the start of the current school year.
Anyone interested in helping with round two should call Love PV at 405-689-0773 or mail a donation to P.O. Box 540, Pauls Valley, OK 73075.
To ensure contributing businesses are included in the campaign's advertising the hope is all donations are received no later than May 1.
Donations can also be made with debit or credit cards by going to the Love PV Facebook page at www.facebook.com/lovepvevent online.
Another way to help is with Love PV yard signs, which are available for a donation of $20 or more at the Bloomin Crazy flower shop in Pauls Valley.
Another way to show support is through the purchase of Love PV T-shirts now on sale for $15. You can place an order at Main Street Mercantile, corner of Paul and Walnut, and at many of the local churches.
The Katie Community Center will host a yard sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. to noon Friday and Saturday, May 3-4.
Proceeds are to help with expenses and maintenance of the center.
For donations to the yard sale, call Jeannie at 580-788-2145.
The new season for the Pauls Valley Farmers Market opens May 4.
Regular times are 8 a.m. to noon Saturday mornings and 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday afternoons at the train depot pavilion in downtown PV.
• The Samaritans of PV food pantry in Wacker Park will have an open house from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18.
